Program Description:

The purpose of the Academic Center is to provide educational services to all students that are specific to their training needs. Students will develop a personalized training program that will enhance their skills as they pursue a specific occupational training area. They will also work on career awareness and job readiness skills.

Students utilize the following software programs in AC:

• Employability and Work Maturity Skills - employability skills.
• Work-Based Learning Skills - academic skills related to specific occupational areas.
• Skills Bank IV - academic improvement.
• OKCIS website - up-to-date employability information and student resume.

In addition to covering basic skills in AC, students also cover the following items:

• Human Relation Skills
• Communication Skills

• Job Search Techniques
• Employee Rights and Responsibilities
